Savior Jesus Christ. It was also during this time that the assistant to 2007 – Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church acquired the City of Galveston Historical Landmark on April 12, 2007. Through hard work and dedication Mt. Olive was awarded the historical recognition of both the old and new sanctuaries after 131 years of being in existence. The landmark was presented to the church and its members during the 131st Church Anniversary on April 22, 2007. there were developments put into place that would expand our outreach efforts into the community. With the development of our outreach ministry known as Rebound Central Carver Park, Pastor Burkley started his second vision of having a 501(c)3 non-profit community organization that would serve the people both inside and outside of the church walls. With great demand and desire, the youth praise and drill teams were also formed with young adults serving as advisors and instructors for the teams in hopes they would also serve as a mentorship to our younger youth. Recently, it is worthy to note that do to these expanded outreach efforts many souls have been saved, rededicated, and converted for our Lord and Pastor Burkley, Rev. E. R. Johnson, organized the Support the Pastor Ministry and the Pastor’s Investment Team under this ministry.
