REV.N.D.BURKLEY., SR
Rev.Norris David Burkley, Sr. was born April 15,1960. He is a native of the great city of Houston, Texas. He accepted Christ as his personal savior at the age of five at the Antioh Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of view Sr., who is still pastor today.
He is currently the pastor of the Mt.Olive Missionary Baptist Church located on the beautiful island of Galveston, Texas . He accepted his call to the ministry in 1981 under the Pastorate of Rev.F.N.Williams Sr. from that point on Rev.Williams saw to it that Pastor Burkley received the guidance and nurturing necessary for him to grow to Christian maturity. Pastor Burkley has and continues to serve faithfully in various other ministerial capacities.
Pastor Burkley received primary education in the Houston Independent School District. In 1978 Pastor Burkley graduated from Jack Yates High School in Houston, Texas. Upon graduation he attended Prairie View A&M University where he graduated with a bachelors degree in business administration in 1986. He also attend Central Bible College.
On the day of April 5,1986 became a joyous day as he united with Mrs. Debra Burkley. From their union, two loving boys, Norris David Burkley,II & Mark Alex Burkley, II, were bought into the world.
Pastor Burkley is the Vice Moderator of the Fellowship United District Association(FUDA).
Member of the Missionary Baptist General Convention of Texas.
Member of the Independent Missionay Baptist Church & the National Fellowship of Churches.
Member of the National Baptist Convention of America , Inc.
Member of the Baptist Minister Association & Galveston Baptist Association.
In 1986 Pastor Burkley served as pastor of the Mt.Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Navasota ,Texas until the membership of the Mt.Olive Missionary Baptist Church in March 1994.
